Privacy Policy

1. Scope and Contact

This policy applies to the Present Moment website, accounts, questionnaires, reports, purchases, and support interactions.

For privacy questions or requests, contact support.presentmoment@gmail.com. We aim to acknowledge requests within two business days.

2. Information We Process

• Account information, such as user ID, email address, authentication status, and profile settings.
• Questionnaire answers, scenario responses, calculated scores, reflection inputs, generated reports, and report history.
• Purchase and entitlement information, such as plan, credit balance, order identifier, payment status, receipt details, refunds, and chargebacks. Full payment-card details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored by Present Moment.
• Support communications and privacy requests.
• Technical and security information, such as logs, request metadata, browser or device information, approximate location derived from IP address, error details, and security events.
• Local browser data used to remember language, session state, pending checkout navigation, and locally saved product progress where applicable.

3. How We Use Information

• Create and secure accounts; authenticate users; and maintain preferences.
• Provide questionnaires, scoring, saved progress, paid entitlements, and requested reports.
• Generate and validate AI-assisted report content.
• Process purchases, taxes, receipts, refunds, payment disputes, and fraud checks with the Merchant of Record and payment providers.
• Respond to support and privacy requests; troubleshoot errors; prevent abuse; and maintain service reliability and security.
• Measure product operation and improve reliability using product telemetry and de-identified or aggregated information.
• Comply with legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, chargeback, and dispute obligations.

4. Service Providers and AI Processing

We use service providers for authentication, hosting, databases, AI-assisted report generation, payments, security, logging, and support. Current core providers include Clerk for authentication, Supabase for database services, Vercel for hosting, and Google Gemini and DeepSeek for AI processing. The Merchant of Record and payment provider are identified during checkout.

We send AI providers only the information reasonably needed to generate or validate the requested report. That may include selected answers, scenario labels, calculated profile data, and draft or generated report text. Do not include another person's identifying or sensitive information in questionnaire responses.

Present Moment does not use identifiable questionnaire answers or generated reports to train its own AI models. Provider handling of submitted data is also governed by the applicable provider agreement and configuration.

5. Sharing and Sales of Data

We disclose information to service providers only for the purposes described above; to investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, payment disputes, or legal claims; when required by law; or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information or questionnaire answers. We do not share questionnaire answers for third-party advertising or independent marketing.

6. Browser Storage, Cookies, and Analytics

Present Moment and its authentication provider use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for sign-in, security, session continuity, and core service operation. The website also uses local or session storage for language preferences, navigation state, and locally saved product data where applicable.

Present Moment does not currently use advertising pixels or third-party behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will update this policy and add any consent controls required before enabling them.

7. Retention and Deletion

Account, questionnaire, and report information is generally retained while your account remains active and for the period reasonably needed to provide the service. Payment, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, and dispute records may be retained for longer where required or reasonably necessary.

You may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing support.presentmoment@gmail.com. We aim to acknowledge requests within two business days and complete verified requests within 30 days where reasonably practicable. We may ask for information needed to verify the request.

Deletion may not immediately remove information from encrypted backups, security logs, payment records held by a Merchant of Record, or records that must be retained for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, chargeback, or dispute purposes. Such information will remain restricted to those purposes and be removed or anonymized when the retention need ends.

8. International Processing and Your Choices

Present Moment and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection rules.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of certain information. We will evaluate verified requests under the laws that apply to the request and will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

9. Security, Adults Only, and Policy Updates

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Present Moment is intended only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly offer the service to children or minors.

We will update this policy when material product, vendor, or data-use practices change. The current version and effective date will be published here, and we will provide additional notice when reasonably required.
